INDUSTRIAS DUERO is a solid Spanish industrial group established in 1952, which manufactures steel components. The group owns more than 250,000 m2 of industrial land, of which about 50,000m2 are covered and assigned to production. With a staff of over 200 people, Duero has at present an annual turnover of more than 100 million euros.
 
Quality being our constant goal, more than 50 years experience in the metal-mechanic sector have helped us to obtain the main certifications on each field. Our commitment to adapting quality systems has allowed Industrias Duero to be accredited with the Registered Firm Certificate AENOR ER-516/2/96-IQNET, as a quality guarantee in accordance with standard EN ISO 9001.

Industrias Duero's quality policy has been the company’s distinctive mark since its founding. Our quality department has always strived to improve this area, which has helped us to meet all competition, leading to a continuous improvement and placing us in the position of market leaders.
 
Our constant wish to offer better services, products and processes, combined with our quality requirements even exceeding those determined by standards, has allowed us to achieve the permanent improvements that our customers expect.
 
Our Quality System follows the structure of the standard specifications EN ISO 9001 "Quality management systems".
 
The international certification of our Quality System has been acknowledged by the IQNet (International Certification Network), which Industrias Duero has implemented in its activities, in accordance with the requirements determined by the EN ISO 9001 standard. Experience gained has helped us to obtain the Registered Firm Certificate AENOR and the accreditation of other international organisms, all of which guarantee the quality of our products.
 
In order to ensure Final Quality, we have completely equipped in-house laboratories to carry out any kind of controls on processes, raw materials and finished products.
 
All controls, systems and devices we use are calibrated and verified in accordance with standards in force and backed, not only by our system ensuring certified guarantee, but by a leading company in this field.

1952 Industrias Duero starts business on October 1st 1952, continuing uninterrupted until today. At an early stage, its production was geared towards heating elements and auxiliary cooling systems.

1955 In 1955, we started hot dip galvanizing, which has led us to being clear leaders in the national production.

1963 We started manufacturing electricity pylons, a branch in which Duero has achieved a prestigious position within the Spanish market.

1964 The product range was completed with the manufacturing of tubes and sections. Duero’s wide export tradition both to Europe and to other non-European countries is based on this sector. We are also leaders in the national market in the manufacture of road safety equipment; we supply foreign markets with a highly competitive product with great quality.

1969 and 1974 Galvanizing facilities in Madrid were rebuilt and enlarged with two independent centres for each production line: large components and series, and small and centrifuged components.

1976 Opening of the Arganda plant in Madrid, dedicated to manufacturing electricity and telephone pylons with independent offices and its own technical department.

1985 The Arganda centre was enlarged with new facilities.

1987 Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade awarded Industrias Duero the Conformity Certification in galvanizing production. Quality certification of UNESA for steel supports is obtained. A new plant is built in Vallecas, which manufactures road equipment, pipes and sections, and a new and modern office centre was opened.

1989 and 1992 Enlargement of galvanizing plant facilities in Vallecas.

1990 HIDROELÉCTRICA ESPAÑOLA authorised the use of steel pylons manufactured by Industrias Duero.

1993 IBERDROLA certification for the manufature of pipes is obtained. UNIÓN FENOSA incorporated Industrias Duero into its Suppliers’ Catalogue as an authorised manufacturer of steel pylons.

1994 AFNOR product certificate for restraint safety barrier was obtained. RENFE included Industrias Duero to its Suppliers General Register.

1996 Registered Firm Certificate ISO 9002 was obtained by Industrias Duero, as well as AENOR product certification for beam, post and spacer.

1998 Opening of a galvanizing centre in Toledo, one of the most modern and productive plants worldwide.

2003 Registered Firm Certificate ISO 9002 is adapted to ISO 9001 in Industrias Duero.

2005 The steel safety barrier system manufactured by Duero was certified in accordance with the requirements of Road Equipment European Standard EN1317 in force.
